About

Turning darkness into fantasy and the mundane into impossible.
I have always sought for an escape from reality. As a child I found comfort in my fantasy books, and as a young adult I’d watch my dark TV shows and high fantasy movies to forget about real life for a moment. I don’t just step into the crazy worlds in my head, I find the dark and twisted corners of them as well. Everyday, I seek to draw the surreal into the real world, to turn the mundane upside down. I’ve been imaginative since birth, and even though my parents are in scientific fields, they are imaginative too; They’d tell me magical stories of witches and weird worlds as I grew up. These are the things that drive my art, from writing to drawing to photography. From when I took my first photo on my dad’s Ricoh film camera, to when I got my DSLR at University, I didn’t expect to get into photography, but now I aim to create magical images that take people anywhere but here.
